Body Shame

Body Shame

How many of you can relate to going shopping for a pair of jeans or a bathing suit and you catch yourself crying in the changing room because nothing is fitting quite right. These feelings rushed inside me like I have done something wrong. I start saying hurtful things about my body that made me stop going things in life like going to the beach or even going to the gym, I couldn't even wear a jogging outfit because it was too clingy for my body, I was afraid that someone was looking at me and making fun of me and thinking the thoughts I was thinking about.

Have you ever stopped to think and celebrate where you are right now? Celebrate your beautiful body and how it was created just for you. I remember when I would set a goal and be like I want to look like one of these models, it took me a long time to figure out that it will not happen because I am not that person and every one is designed differently we all have a unique body type. No one is going to look the same. Once you understand this your vision of your body changes and how you look at it. This is where you can enter a healthy relationship with your body.

Stay on being Healthy and nurture your body by feeding it clean healthy foods. Be mindful when you're moving your body, and fit it into your busy schedule, even if you can do a 15 min walk and incorporate more exercising you enjoy. This doesn't have to be a chore make it fun. Partner up with ones that will support you and only want good things for you.

Relationship with food is another struggle and what helped me is that it doesn't have to be scary. If you prepare and make good choices, you can have an amazing relationship with your mind and body.

Enjoy your Journey it doesn't have to be draining. Enjoy your body in every phrase. You have more to offer then what size you are in clothing, you are amazing!

Being you is the definition of beauty not what your body looks like.

Till next time,

Hugs
